How To Get Rid Of Morning Breath In Less Than 45 Seconds Per Day

Stats About Morning Breath

Approximately 35% of the world’s population has a chronic, noticeable breath condition which usually leads them to seek help from a professional (which may often be incorrect.) This first group has bad breath concerns 24 hours a day, including, taste disorders, dry mouth, and of course morning breath.

Another 35% of people are “borderline” – meaning that their breath seems fresh throughout the day, but they can easily reach “chronic” levels – if they eat certain foods (dairy, alcohol, sugars), after taking medication (antihistamines, antidepressants, high blood pressure medication) and always when they wake up – in other words, morning breath.

The remaining 30% rarely worry about their breath. The only exceptions are when they eat garlic and onions, or upon wakening – in other words, morning breath…

So what’s going on with morning breath? The thing is, just about EVERYONE has morning breath to some degree or another!

As we sleep throughout the night, our salivary glands slow down (for some older people, they shut down completely!) because our brain knows we are not eating. This slowdown, combined with the constant flow of air over our palate (for those of us who are snorers or mouth breathers) makes for a very DRY environment on the tongue, within our oral cavity and in the throat (the breeding grounds of the anaerobic sulfur-producing bacteria that cause bad breath and taste disorders).

As it was discussed in the article about dry mouth, this creates an environment that is very conducive for ‘morning breath’. (Saliva is nature’s way of protecting us from bad breath, because healthy saliva contains high concentrations of oxygen – the natural enemy of anaerobic bacteria.) So if you get morning breath after a good night’s sleep, don’t worry – you’re not alone!

Reduce Volatile Sulfur Compounds Levels and Eliminate Morning Breath But what most people don’t know (and this includes most medical and dental professionals), is that morning breath is NOT something that you have to live with.

The key is to find a way to stop the production of VSC’s (volatile sulfur compounds) during the night as you are asleep. One way is to increase the production of saliva within the back of your throat and mouth during the night. But this is very difficult to do – after all, you’re asleep! Furthermore, those of us who are mouth breathers are drying out the back of our throats with each breath that we take throughout the night.

A better and easier way is to stop the production of volatile sulfur compounds by the bacteria that create morning breath – and this is exactly what the Therabreath AktivOxigen Tablets are designed to do!

AktivOxigen Tablets are small, highly concentrated bad breath eliminators. They were created in response to customers’ demands for an effective oral rinse that reached the deep recesses of the throat and tonsil area.

To use AktivOxigen Tablets, just dissolve 1 or 2 tablets (depending on the severity of the problem you are trying to correct) in regular tap water in the included 8 oz. mixing bottle. Shake well for about 10 seconds and you will have a powerful, unflavored oral rinse that will destroy the bad breath bacteria on contact.

What makes this rinse so effective is that you can actually swallow the resulting solution and slowly let it run down the back of your throat and tonsils. If you do this right before bedtime, this coats your throat for the entire night and virtually eliminates morning breath.

AktivOxigen Tablets are easy to use and affordable – and they are the best way I know for the average person to rid themselves of morning breath.

Also, for those of you who suffer from Tonsiloliths (that’s the scientific term for those nasty odorous globs growing deep in the crypts of your tonsils) or congested sinuses will find instant relief from using the combination of AktivOxigen Tablets, and Nasal Sinus Drops. Nasal Sinus Drops are potent drops you put in your nose that slowly trickle through your sinuses and down your throat destroying the bad breath bacteria on contact.

AktivOxigen Tablets

Four 8oz Bottles (lasts 2 weeks): $17.50

  2. Shake well for 10-20 seconds.
  3. Before bedtime, tilt your head back and swallow 1 or 2 capfuls of the solution. Let it slowly run over your throat and tonsil area for maximum effectiveness.
  4. Important – The solution should be in contact with your tonsils and throat for at least 45 seconds.
  5. Keep cap tightly closed after use.

NASAL-SINUS DROPS INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  1. Blow your nose before use.
  2. Tilt your head back and gently press sides of dropper bottle to release 3-5 drops into each nostril.

How To Get Rid Of Bad Breath With These Tools

Keeping your breath smelling fresh should be a priority for everyone. If people figure out that you have bad breath or halitosis, they will not want to interact with you at all. However, if you use the proper tools to cure bad breath, you can lead a normal social life.

Many people have digestive halitosis. In this situation, problems with the digestive enzymes is the bad breath cause. However, for most people, the bacteria in their mouth is the bad breath cause. Fortunately, there are many options for a bad breath solution. A good natural cure for bad breath is to regularly keep your mouth clean. But there are many myths that can steer you in the wrong direction. So you should consider each bad breath solution very carefully. However, if you want to increase your chances of learning how to get rid of bad breath, you should have the following tools:

Toothbrush: A tool that everyone should have is a toothbrush. The first toothbrushes were made more than 200 years ago. By using a toothbrush, you can remove the food particles that get caught in your teeth, tongue, and cheeks. This is vital because halitosis-causing bacteria thrive in these food particles. Toothbrushes are an effective way to cure bad breath.

Toothpaste: Halitosis can also result from periodontal diseases. Therefore, if you make a concerted effort to keep your teeth and gums healthy, you can lower your chances of getting halitosis. Making sure that your teeth are clean is easy. You just have to use a toothpaste that contains fluoride. You can fight bacteria and stop diseases from attacking your gums by using one of the medicated toothpastes that are available.

Brushing advice: You should thoroughly brush for two to three minutes. Attempt to clean all parts of your mouth. The bristles of the toothbrush should be at a 45-degree angle to your gums. Use gentle strokes and move your toothbrush back and forth. Carefully clean the teeth surfaces. Also try to clean areas such as the tongue, cheeks, and lips.

Tongue scraper: There are small hair-like projections that can trap food particles and plaque. They can increase the amount of halitosis-causing bacteria that resides on your tongue. You can purchase a device called a tongue scraper that can help scrap off the build-up of food particles and plaque. This is an effective way to cure bad breath so you should incorporate this into your daily oral hygiene routine. A similar function can be performed with a toothbrush. However, the way tongue scrapers are designed allows them to more effectively cure bad breath. Another name for tongue scraper is tongue cleaner.

Tongue cleaning advice: Initially, you may experience a tough time trying to clean the back of the tongue. The difficulty arises from the gag reflex that may occur as you reach toward the back of the mouth. However, after a while, you will get used to reaching toward the back of your mouth. While you are cleaning, you should apply steady pressure and use long strokes. Also make sure to clean the entire tongue, including the tip, back, and sides.

You should gently scrape off the bacterial plaque from your tongue. If you use too much force, you may damage the tissues in your tongue which may make your halitosis worse. In order to lessen the severity of your halitosis, you can try using some oxygenating toothpaste. Place a layer of this toothpaste on your tongue and leave it there for about 90 seconds. This will allow oxygen to get into the tongue tissues which will reduce the amount of bacteria that is ruining your breath.

Dental floss: This tool should be utilized along with the other ones that were mentioned previously. Dental floss can remove the food particles and plaque that are hiding in the gaps of your teeth. A toothbrush may not be able to remove these items from the hard-to-reach places between your teeth.

If you follow the rules for proper oral hygiene, you will have an effective natural cure for bad breath. By using the tools that I have already mentioned, you will have what is necessary to cure bad breath. This should indicate that finding a way to cure bad breath is not as hard as people say it is.

Bad Breath Gum

What Is The Best Bad Breath Gum?

The best bad breath gum is TheraBreath Chewing Gum. It will freshen your breath when it needs it the most. It will give you the confidence you need in any situation. The breath-freshening power of this gum lasts long after the taste runs out because the taste is not what is responsible for keeping the breath smelling nice. You can get Free Chewing Gum and Free TheraBrite Toothpaste with any order over $50. Use Coupon Code ‘AGum‘ in the Coupon Center of your Shopping Cart when you checkout.

Sap was the base of the earliest chewing gums Have you ever walked by a tree, looked at the sap oozing out of it, and thought to yourself, “That tree sap looks really good, I might like to chew on some of that!“? It sounds pretty strange when you think of it like that, but that’s exactly what the Mayans did when they walked by a sapodilla tree (that’s where the word “sap” comes from). And it a good thing otherwise the gum we chew today could have evolved in a very different manner!

Gum chewing has it origins back in ancient Greece. The Grecians chewed mastic gum (pronounced mas-tee-ka), which is the resin obtained from the bark of the mastic tree, a shrublike tree found mainly in Greece and Turkey. The Grecian women especially, favored chewing mastic gum to clean their teeth and sweeten their breath.

But the Mayans weren’t too far behind the Greeks – they simply got their sap from a different tree. But the tree the Mayans chose (the Sapodilla tree) actually produced a sap called ‘chicle’ which is exactly where much of the gum in the US comes from. And ironically enough, even though the Mayan civilization literally disappeared overnight in about the year 800, virtually the only Mayan practice that remained intact was that of chewing gum.

Meanwhile, the American Indians of New England were also chewing gum, but made from the resin of spruce trees. Although chicle-based gums would ultimately win out in the US, the first gums ever marketed in the US were those based from the resin of spruce trees.

Over the mid 1800′s, spruce gum was gradually replaced by paraffin wax gum to which sweeteners were added, however the one drawback of paraffin wax gum was that it required heat and moisture from the mouth in order to render it suitable for chewing.

General Santa Anna sold chicle to Thomas Adams, who used it to make the first commercial chewing gum. It wasn’t until 1869 that modern day gum products first appeared. The famous Mexican General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna was searching for a substitute for rubber, and thought that chicle (remember the sap from the sapodilla tree that the Mayans chewed on?) might be a good fit. He contacted the American Inventor Thomas Adams, and while Adams couldn’t get chicle to work as rubber, he had the brilliant idea to turn it into a gum base. And thus modern day chewing gum was born from information that the Mayans had known for thousand of years – chicle makes great gum!

As you can see, the evolution of chewing gum makes for an interesting story, but it’s not until recent years have manufactures figured out how to add a variety of ingredients which are responsible for an assortment of proven health benefits (besides fresh breath!)

Here are some other interesting tidbits. All of these are based from research performed at leading institutions around the world.

Did you know?

Source: British Psychological Society in Blackpool, Lancashire, UK

Pretty interesting, huh?

Now, from all you’ve learned about chewing gum, here’s what I think is the best part. Bad breath comes in different forms, different odors, and is caused by different strains of anaerobic bacteria.

If you have chronic halitosis, all the gum in the world is not going to stop it! You MUST use an oxygenating oral rinse, a non SLS toothpaste, and follow the instructions in this article Instructions For An Effective Bad Breath Treatment Routine.

However, if you only have occasional bad breath, or dry mouth towards the end of the day, or are simply looking for a solution to neutralize odors after a particularly offensive meal, or before a special moment, then I think you’ll find that the TheraBreath chewing gum will work wonders!

Now, exactly what is in this gum that makes it so great at keeping your breath fresh?

First, it contains Zinc Gluconate. Zinc is a known inhibitor of acid production by mutans streptococci (the bacteria in your mouth that cause bad breath). These bacteria thrive in an acidic environment, so when you neutralize acids you kill bacteria (and you help prevent that annoying tinny, metallic taste). In addition, a high level of oral acids is bad for your tooth enamel, so you’re helping to keep a brighter, whiter smile as well. Zinc ions also perform an interesting function when they meet anaerobic bacteria – they “clog” up certain receptors on the outer cell wall of anaerobic bacteria, so that that “bugs” cannot create sulfur compounds. (Zinc gluconate is the best tasting of all the zinc compounds which can be used in oral products.) Lastly, Zinc Gluconate (and only Zinc Gluconate) has been proven to restore sour/bitter/metallic tastes. Studies have shown that people with long term taste disorders can experience a rejuvenation of their taste buds after long-term use of Zinc gluconate gum or lozenges (which is what is used in ZOX Breath Fresheners and all of the TheraBreath chewing gum formulas – as well as ALL Plus formulas.)

The New TheraBreath and TheraBrite Oxygenating Chewing Gums contain Zinc Gluconate, Xylitol, and Oxygenating Compounds to fight bad breath. Second, I’ve used Xylitol as a sweetener, instead of sugar or Aspartame (Nutrasweet) like so many other chewing gums. Xylitol is an all-natural sweetener made from the bark of hardwood trees. It is also naturally produced in small quantities in our own bodies.

It is a sugar alcohol, with makes it safe for diabetics because the body doesn’t react to sugar alcohols the same way that it does to sucrose or glucose (found in most of the popular kiddy-flavored gums, such as Big Red, Juicy Fruit, etc.)

Most importantly, it has an interesting property in that it has been proven to fight tooth decay and is the only “sweetener” that does so – the complete opposite of sugar – which oral bacteria use to generate acids, which lead to tooth decay. NEVER chew gum that contains sugar if you want to maintain fresh breath!

Simply put, a good amount of xylitol provides a healthy environment for an oral ecosystem.

Finally, it also contains Oxygenating Compounds, specially designed to work with chewing gum base, to gently bathe your mouth and throat with oxygenating molecules designed to neutralize any and all volatile sulfur compounds, located in your mouth, throat, tonsils, and even in the upper reaches of your esophagus. Every time you swallow, your saliva – now loaded with oxygen and zinc molecules – bathes the back of your tongue, throat, tonsils area, and even the very beginning of your esophagus, a formerly ignored hiding place for anaerobic sulfur-producing bacteria.

So while it’s true that chewing gum has been around in many forms for many years, it’s NEVER been as beneficial as it is today. If you want fresh breath, a bright smile, and a healthy mouth, then try some of the TheraBreath Chewing Gum today! You can get Free Chewing Gum and Free TheraBrite Toothpaste with any order over $50. How To Get Rid Of Tonsil Stones

How To Get Rid Of Tonsil Stones (Those Nasty, Whitish/Yellow, Foul-Smelling Lumps From Your Tonsils!) And Bad Breath

This article will give you the following information:

  • An Easy Explanation Of What Tonsil Stones Are
  • Where Do Tonsil Stones Come From? Are They Normal? Why Me?
  • Simple Steps You Can Take To Remove Tonsil Stones (Without Surgery!)

Tonsil Stones and Tonsilloliths Can Be Prevented Tonsil Stones (tonsilloliths) are caused by an accumulation of sulfur-producing bacteria and debris that become lodged in the tonsils. This debris (which can include mucous from post nasal drip) putrifies in the back of your throat, and collects in the tonsil crypts (small divots or pockets which appear on the surface of the tonsils).

When this debris combines with the Volatile Sulfur Compounds produced by the anaerobic bacteria beneath the surface of your tongue, along with the tonsil stones it can also create chronic Halitosis (and other stubborn bad breath and taste disorders).

Important: If you do not have your tonsils then you will NOT (except for rare exceptions) experience tonsil stones. However this does NOT mean that you should run out and get your tonsils removed.

As we get older, tonsilectomies become increasingly dangerous, but aside from that, even if you have your tonsils removed, you will most likely still have bad breath! Why is that?

You see, the sulfur producing bacteria breeding beneath the surface of your tongue (which are integral to the creation of those tonsil stones) are also the most likely candidates to cause bad breath!

So, even if you have your tonsils removed, unless you remove or hinder these anaerobic bacteria, your friends may still exhibit those tell-tale signs that YOU have bad breath! (i.e. pulling away, offering you gum, twitching at their nose, etc.)

And, since you can’t have your tongue removed (at least not in the U.S.), there is a better idea. Fortunately, getting rid of tonsil stones is not that difficult.

A simple combination of AktivOxigen Tablets and Nasal Sinus Drops will effectively eliminate tonsil stones without unnecessary tonsil surgery. Plus, occasional use of a Oxygenating Spray will help to immediately neutralize the anaerobic sulfur-producing bacteria on contact.

Stop Tonsil Stones with This Effective Treatment Now keep in mind, as you know from reading the Bad Breath Bible (click here to download this for free), if you truly want to prevent bad breath then you must use an oxygenating toothpaste and mouthwash and ideally a tongue scraper to effectively neutralize the anaerobic bacteria from the very back of the tongue.

When you use such an oxygenating toothpaste and mouthwash (like TheraBreath) you will experience a residual effect from the AktivOxigen/Nasal-Sinus Drops solution, and it will stop the tonsil stones from ever forming again.

Clinical tests at the California Breath Clinics founded by Dr. Harold Katz showed that most people following this formula have reported a significant reduction or complete elimination of tonsil stones.

Post Nasal Drip Remedies

Post Nasal Drip Remedies

In this article, you will learn the following:

  • How to Eliminate That Annoying ‘Frog-in-the-Throat’ Feeling!
  • Why Your Over-the-Counter Anti Histamine Could Be Making The Problem Even Worse!
  • If You Have Post Nasal Drip – It’s Guaranteed To Affect Your Breath!

Post Nasal Drip Bad Breath is very closely related to post nasal drip, excess mucus, sinus problems, your tonsils, and tonsiloliths.

If you downloaded and read the FREE E-book The Bad Breath Bible, then you know that the bacteria which cause bad breath and sour/bitter/metallic tastes are anaerobic (live without oxygen). Their goal in life is to break down the proteins in foods that we eat. However, under certain conditions, they will also start to break down the proteins found in mucus and phlegm.

Therefore, those people who suffer from post nasal drip, sinus problems, and other such ailments are more prone to bad breath and lousy tastes because the bacteria use the mucus as a food source and start to extract sulfur compounds from the amino acids that make up the proteins found in all this excess mucus.

Scientifically, the anaerobic bacteria that cause bad breath “love” the amino acids Cysteine and Methionine, which are the building blocks of the proteins that are found in mucus (and phlegm) and in dairy foods, too. In fact, many people notice that when they drink too much milk or eat too much cheese they end up with more mucous or phlegm in their throat (see this article on foods that cause bad breath). This is a natural reaction for many people and unfortunately, ends up causing more bad breath and lousy taste.

If you still have your tonsils, you may be harboring a higher number of the bacteria which can lead to an “interesting” and very often misunderstood phenomenon, called TONSILOLITHS. Literally translated, they are “tonsil stones” produced by the conglomeration of mucus draining down the back of the throat and the volatile sulfur compounds created by the bacteria which easily end up in the “nooks and crannies” of the tonsils, every time one swallows. Many people ask their dentist what these objects were, and more often than not the answer was ‘food particles’. This couldn’t be further from the truth! For more information, see this article about how to get rid of tonsil stones.

If you suffer from excess mucus, sinus congestion and post nasal drip there are essentially only a few different routes that you can take:

  1. Use medication and or drugs to dry up the sinuses and prevent mucus buildup – all the while being careful to avoid a dry mouth, a likely side-effect of virtually all antihistamines. Dry mouth is the most common initiator of bad breath because it mimics an anaerobic environment, perfect for the “bugs” to pump out Volatile Sulfur Compounds. You should be careful about using any antihistamine too frequently – many are habit forming!
  2. Use TheraBreath Nasal Sinus Formula. By squeezing 3-4 drops into each nostril (and then lightly inhaling to move the potent formula through the sinus) twice daily, most people can finally experience that fresh breath and taste feeling by eliminating the production of sulfur compounds created by the reaction of mucus and the anaerobic sulfur producing bacteria.
  3. For chronic sinus problems, many users find relief by using the Hydropulse (an amazingly effective Nasal-Sinus Irrigator, designed by an Ear Nose & Throat specialist) to flush the sinuses. (Works even better when you add just 2-3 drops of AktivOxigen serum into the trough before each use).
  4. Minimize the amount of post-nasal drip in your throat and sinuses, and eliminate the #1 side effect of excess mucus (Bad Breath!) by using oxygenating oral care products, such as TheraBreath, TheraBreath PLUS, AktivOxigen, PerioTherapy, and TheraBrite.

Medication and Drugs MAY help Prevent Post-Nasal Drip, But At What Cost?

There are dozens of different over-the counter nasal decongestants and antihistamines you can use to help relieve congestion and dry up excess mucus, and some of them are very good at what they claim but mostly they are TOO GOOD! They create an extremely dry mouth, which exacerbates bad breath. And even in cases where the dry mouth side effect is minimal, when you stop taking that medication the problem comes back, and almost always with a vengeance! This is because in some cases, your body will actually develop a resistance to any antihistamines or nasal decongestants, especially nasal sprays (be careful, because many sprays are habit forming – but NOT TheraBreath formulas!)

Suffice it to say, this should NOT be an option that you pursue.

Use a Nasal-Irrigator such as the Hydropulse® to Flush Your Sinuses free from Excess Mucus

Nasal Irrigation is probably the most effective method of eliminating post-nasal drip and helping to control sinus infections. The Hydro Pulse Sinus Irrigator is an FDA registered device supported by over 37 published medical reports. The unique pulsatile irrigation of the Hydro Pulse helps to restore ciliary function and relieve post nasal drip. A short period of regular use can stimulate the cilia (the tiny hair-like fibers in the nasal sinus passages) to restore their natural protective “sweeping & cleansing” action.

When you feel a sinus condition come on, or feel that you have persistent post-nasal drip and excess mucus, consistent daily use for 10 days should result in a clearing of the condition.

For best results, we recommend a combination of this easy-to-use home instrument with an oxygenating solution such as AktivOxigen serum.

Stop Bad Breath Associated with Post-Nasal Drip, Excess Mucus, and Sinus Problems

For people who don’t really have sinus problems, just “off and on” or seasonal post-nasal drip, then an alternative (and better) solution might be to minimize the amount of excess mucus in the back of the throat and more importantly to make sure you neutralize the odor caused by this excess mucus.

You see, the proteins in mucus make an excellent food source for the anaerobic bacteria that cause bad breath. The bacteria feed off the amino acids, Methionine and Cysteine, and create extremely odorous and lousy-tasting Volatile Sulfur Compounds as by-products, which are the odors and lousy tastes found in the medical condition halitosis, which YOU (or maybe everyone around you) more commonly knows as bad breath.

There are three key formulas that many people find extremely effective at neutralizing the odor caused by post-nasal drip:

Keep in mind that it is always recommended that you use an oxygenating oral rinse and toothpaste such as TheraBreath as the primary ingredients of any bad breath treatment program

Nasal-Sinus Drops Eliminate Odor From The Sinuses

Cause Of Bad Breath

October 27th, 2008 No comments

One Cause Of Bad Breath Is Dry Mouth

Saliva is a very important part of Oral Health. With regards to the topic at hand, Saliva provides 3 important functions:

1. Provides enzymes to help with digestion of food
2. Provides a method to stabilize the pH (keep the acid levels in check)
3. Provides high levels of oxygen in order to keep oral tissues healthy and fresh.

If you suffer from dry mouth (Xerostomia) symptoms, you naturally have less saliva. In turn, less saliva means less oxygen. If there is less oxygen available in the oral environment you have an anaerobic environment, which is perfect for these sulfur-producing bacteria. In essence, the bacteria are now capable of making high levels of sulfur gases, which in turn make the breath and taste worse.

Dry mouth may cause bad breath. There is an all natural Breath Mint, ZOX Breath Fresheners, designed to stimulate saliva flow AND freshen your breath. Containing no sugar, aspartame, or saccharin, this breath lozenge uses its patented zinc/oxygen/xylitol formula to naturally stimulate the salivary glands to produce an oxygen-rich type of saliva, which works extremely well with our Stabilized Chlorine Dioxide oral rinse and oral gel in order to restrict the production of the foul-smelling and tasting sulfide and mercaptan compounds.

It is also true that some tongue formations are also more conducive to dry mouth than others. Generally, the rougher one’s tongue, the more likely they are to have a bad breath problem. This is connected to the belief by some that “bad breath” can be an inherited trait. Truthfully, one cannot inherit the bacteria of bad breath, but one can inherit a specific “shape or geography” of tongue, just as one would inherit a parent’s eye color, hair color, height, and ear shape.

In the graphic on this page, one sees a deep groove going down the middle of the tongue; this is known as a “fissured” tongue and it may lead to a great deal of the anaerobic bacteria breeding at the bottom of this fissure, because Oxygen cannot get to the bottom of the fissure (another reason why tongue scraping without oxidizing products, is a waste of time.)

Some people may have a condition known as “hairy tongue”, which again describes the fibers that make up the tongue (papillae), being slightly longer than the norm. The longer the papillae, the more rough the appearance of the tongue and of course the better to trap the sulfur producing bacteria.

Once the tongue becomes very dry, or if the tongue becomes abused by extra hard scraping or brushing, the outer layer becomes very sensitive. One prevalent condition among older people is “burning tongue syndrome”. It is common among both sexes, but slightly higher among women. That fact has caused some scientists to believe that there is a hormonal component to “burning tongue syndrome”. Many patients who are diabetic, may notice a burning of the tongue, once they become thirsty. It is important, when one has these types of symptoms, to stay away from oral rinses that may burn or make your mouth dry. The resulting pain is indescribably painful according to many of my patients.

The standard recommendation for Burning Tongue Syndrome and Dry Mouth is the following:

1. Stop using oral products which make your mouth dry and/or contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.

2. Stop drinking citrus juices (tomato, orange, grapefruit, etc.)

3. Avoid coffee

4. Do not smoke

5. See your physician regarding possibility of Diabetes or Thyroid Problems

Daily Oral Regimen for Those who Have Burning Tongue Syndrome or Dry Mouth:

a. Coat tongue twice daily with TheraBreath ToothGel and let sit on tongue for 90 seconds.

b. Rinse with 1-2 capfuls of TheraBreath Oral Rinse for 90 seconds.

c. Drink 8 glasses of water per day.

d. Take Vitamin C on a daily basis as recommended on label.

Tonsils and Tonsiloliths:

(Those white-yellow globs that get stuck in your throat).

These bacteria can breed very easily in the back of the throat, and especially the tonsils (if you have them.) One important fact to remember: The bacteria never start off in the throat or tonsils. They only get there because the “bugs” originate on the back of the tongue – which contacts the throat & tonsils EVERY TIME you swallow. When someone has post nasal drip or allergies, it is possible to form little “white globs” – scientifically known as Tonsiloliths. They are a combination of sulfur compounds (produced by the bacteria) and mucous (from post nasal drip). Their smell (if you’ve checked them out) is very STRONG! Do not attempt to pick them out yourself – you’ll cause a lot of bleeding. Many dentists and physicians don’t know what they are – they are not food particles and it is not the sign of infection. Do not run out and have a tonsillectomy – because you will still have bad breath – because the bugs are still on the back of your tongue. (If you no longer have your tonsils, a similar reaction takes place if you have had a history of sore throats – your throat is much rougher).

Here’s what an increasing number of people with halitosis have done to solve this problem: There is a concentrated tablet, known as “AktivOxigen Tabs“, as an addition to the TheraBreath product line. When added to an 8 oz. bottle of water, the tablet will create a powerful Oxygenating solution which one can use as their mouthwash and gargle. People with tonsils, post nasal drip, or a white coating on their tongue have said that if they drink 4-5 capfuls of this solution, even their morning breath disappears! (It’s because the oxygenation attacks the bacteria and their odorous sulfur production on the very back of the tongue, throat and/or tonsils – which cannot be reached through any other method.) You can also make a double strength solution by adding 2 tablets to the 8 oz. bottle. AktivOxigen Tabs are easy to carry around and the resulting unflavored solution is also very refreshing!

Use Detoxification As A Bad Breath Cure

People with bad breath or halitosis can find it humiliating when other people find out that their breath smells disgusting. Keeping this problem hidden can be difficult because you can only do this by never speaking again. Obviously, most people would prefer to use another bad breath cure. Keeping your mouth inactive is a bad idea anyway. This is because that will restrict the flow of saliva which is used to reduce the amount of halitosis-causing bacteria. If you want to prevent your breath from smelling worse, you should use another bad breath cure. Fortunately, there are other bad breath cures to choose from.

Not every case of halitosis is due to problems in the mouth. There are other conditions, such as a weakened digestive system, that can also ruin your breath. A bad odor can result from an accumulation of toxins in the digestive system. When you exhale, this disgusting odor is what people smell on your breath. This condition is called digestive halitosis. A bad breath cure that can combat digestive halitosis is flushing the toxins out of the body.

Digestive halitosis is caused by a shortage of gastric juices or stomach acid. This will also cause the production of more gas and weakened intestinal muscles. This situation can make the digestion of food difficult which will lead to an accumulation of toxins in the mouth and stomach. This will show up as a white, sticky substance on your tongue. When the toxins reach your lungs, your breath will have a disgusting smell.

Detoxification is a good bad breath cure. It does an excellent job of eliminating odor-causing toxins from your body. A detoxification technique which also happens to be a natural cure for bad breath is drinking water. You will reduce the production of saliva if you do not drink enough water. This will make your mouth dry which will make it more inviting to bacteria. Another benefit of drinking water is that it will help you digest food better. This will reduce the accumulation of body wastes which is the cause of the bad smell that emanates from your mouth.

Many home remedies for bad breath can be used as methods for detoxification. There exists many green vegetables, fruits, and herbs that could make your breath smell better. Greens such as parsley or basil get their color from chlorophyll which also serves as a good natural cure for bad breath. Chlorophyll is called nature’s deodorizer because it can eliminate the toxins that can find their way into your lungs or stomach and destroy your breath.

Detoxification can also be performed by taking other herbs such as trifala, senna leaves, aloe vera, or rhubarb. You can also detoxify by drinking an aromatic tea that consists of fennel, cardamom, peppermint, or cinnamon. These are excellent home remedies for bad breath. Teas that contain these herbs can improve the digestion of food. This will make it easier to remove wastes from your bowel which will give undigested food less time to decompose in your stomach. This will prevent rotting food from ruining your breath.

Eating citrus fruits such as limes, grapefruits, lemons, or oranges can help eliminate the bacteria that can cause halitosis. The acids found in citrus fruits can make it hard for the bacteria in your mouth to survive. These acids can also increase saliva production which will improve digestion and remove toxins.

People can have a difficult time living with halitosis. Not only because of the disgusting odor but also because it may indicate that you are suffering from a more serious health condition. For anyone who has spent considerable time looking for a bad breath cure, detoxification may provide you with the bad breath solution that you always wanted. Detoxification can also keep your whole body healthy and prevent you from being afflicted with a more dire health problem.
