If you are suffering from bad breath or halitosis, then you should purchase the Therabreath Oral Rinse. This is the best mouthwash for bad breath because it contains the active ingredient Oxyd-VIII. This ingredient uses oxygen to prevent anaerobic bacteria from creating the odorous sulfide and Mercaptan compounds that can lead to halitosis. Click here for more information about how you can purchase Therabreath Oral Rinse.

Mouthwash is an oral hygiene enhancer that when used in conjunction with proper brushing, flossing, and dental visits can eliminate halitosis. Mouthwash is only a supplementary oral hygiene tool. It shouldn’t replace proper brushing and flossing. However, it can enhance these processes by killing more germs and bacteria. Rinsing your mouth has been a part of oral hygiene care for centuries, from the 2700 BC ancient Chinese solution to treat gingivitis, an inflammation of the gums, to the ancient Greek solution of salt, vinegar and alum used prior to brushing. It was ineffective in those time periods due to strength of the solutions and limits to the amount of time the chemicals came into contact with the bacteria in the mouth.

In the late 1960s, a new compound was created that could be added to mouth rinses that would remain in the mouth, stuck to the teeth to fight plaque and reduce the incidence of gingivitis. Since that time, many companies have fiercely competed to sell mouthwashes citing increased oral health, lower incidences of cavities and gingivitis, and long lasting fresh breath due to the lower amount of odor-causing bacteria in the mouth.

Modern mouthwashes may contain many active ingredients, ingredients in products that will affect any cell tissue in the human body, aimed at immobilizing bacteria that can cause bad breath, tooth decay, and other oral hygiene problems. Many, such as thymol and eucalyptol, are derived from naturally occurring substances and have antiseptic properties. Other active ingredients, such as chlorhexidine gluconate and domiphen bromide, are manufactured and could serve more than one purpose. Inactive ingredients vary greatly dependent upon the manufacturer and may be added for a number of reasons ranging from providing palatable flavor to preserving the solution.

What Is The Best Mouthwash For Your Bad Breath?

The best mouthwash for bad breath is the Therabreath Oral Rinse. This mouthwash will take care of the individual’s specific problems while promoting general oral health. If the main concern is halitosis, an individual should seek out a mouthwash that will combat the cause of the bad breath, namely odor-causing bacteria. Be aware that halitosis may be a symptom of other underlying health issues. Simply treating the halitosis and ignoring the causes may result in the health issue worsening. It is best to visit a dental hygienist or dentist to make certain the treatment of halitosis is complete and the only treatment needed for overall physical health.

Mouthwash that is specifically for halitosis should not contain alcohol, a common ingredient in many commercial mouthwashes. Alcohol is a drying agent that may worsen bad breath by creating an environment suitable for bacterial growth. Another ingredient to skip in a good mouthwash is sodium lauryl sulfate. This is a common cleanser used in many items from dishwashing liquid to shampoo. In higher concentrations, this chemical can be used to remove engine oil from concrete. In a mouthwash, it is at best ineffective at holding odor-causing bacteria at bay. It does not remain in the mouth long enough to have an effect. Also, good mouthwash should not contain saccharin. It seems this would be absent in all mouthwashes due to the corrosive effect of sugar in any form, but many manufacturers use this to add flavor to the solution.

The best mouthwashes contain tried and trusted ingredients that have a clear use and have been tested extensively. The main ingredient, or the ingredient in highest concentration listed first on the bottle, will be water, not alcohol. Another indicator that your mouthwash is the best is the length of the ingredient list. A long list full of unpronounceable words indicates a high concentration of manufactured chemicals that may or may not have been tested on humans. Also, even though the individual ingredients may have been tested, it is unlikely they have been tested in conjunction with the other ingredients for overall safety as the other ingredients may have an adverse reaction.

How To Use Therabreath Oral Rinse

Mouthwash is most commonly used following the brushing process. After the teeth have been flossed and brushed, the mouthwash is measured into the cap and poured into the mouth. It is then swished around for approximately one minute. The next step is to gargle the liquid at the back of the mouth to allow the bacteria fighting agents to coat the throat, where much of the odor-causing bacteria can manifest. After this, the liquid is spit into the sink or toilet for proper disposal. If the mouthwash contains fluoride, eating and drinking should be avoided for a minimum of one hour. Do not rinse the mouth with clear water after rinsing with mouthwash. This will remove the bacteria fighting residue left behind by the mouthwash and defeat the purpose of using a good mouthwash to enhance oral hygiene.

Mouthwash may be used prior to brushing to loosen dental plaque and make removal by brushing easier. In this case, mouthwash is measured into the cap, poured into the mouth and swished around using air in the mouth to move the liquid from side to side. The swishing should continue for approximately one minute. Once the minute has elapsed, the liquid should be spit into the sink or toilet for proper disposal. Following this, the teeth should be brushed using a toothbrush and toothpaste.

Mouthwash is a good product to add to an oral hygiene regimen. Regular flossing, brushing and a good mouthwash will protect teeth from disease, decay and keep them looking healthy well into old age. If you do not consistently take good care of your teeth, then they will not be healthy and will most likely require intensive corrective action by a dentist in the future, even up to extraction. You can save money in dental bills if you simply follow daily rituals like brushing at least twice daily or after each meal, flossing once per day (usually at night before bed), properly using a good mouthwash that enhances these actions, and regularly visiting the dentist at least once every six months. Click here for more information about how you can purchase the best mouthwash on the market.

This eBook is based on over 20 years of medical and dental research. Dr. Harold Katz wrote this ebook and he is one of the world’s foremost experts on the subject of bad breath or halitosis and is the founder of the California Breath Clinics. It is very easy to read. You will learn about the numerous causes of bad breath and more importantly, the most effective bad breath treatment that is available. You will learn many things that will definitely shock you such as:

-Most major commercial mouthwashes contain more alcohol than a six-pack of beer. This is bad because alcohol will give you a dry mouth which is one of the leading causes of bad breath.

-Most major commercial toothpastes contain a ‘soap’ that dries out your mouth.

-Most commercial oral care products use a minty scent to stop your bad breath. But when the scent goes away in about 15 minutes, your bad breath comes back with a vengeance!

Important Things You Need To Know About Bad Breath

Extensive medical research has determined the cause of bad breath is the anaerobic bacteria that live beneath the surface of your tongue, in the throat, and on tonsils. These bacteria are supposed to be there. Humans need them to function properly. They assist humans in digestion by breaking down proteins found in specific foods, mucus or phlegm, blood, and in diseased or “broken-down” oral tissue. However, under certain conditions, these bacteria start to break down proteins at a very high rate. Proteins are made up of Amino Acids. Two of the Amino Acids (Cysteine and Methionine) are dense with sulfur which is found in bad breath and taste disorders. During this process of breaking down these proteins, they extract sulfur from the amino acids, and produce Volatile Sulfur Compounds (VSCs) such as Methyl Mercaptan (which smells like dirty socks) and Hydrogen Sulfide (which smells like rotten eggs).

So What Should You Do To Eliminate Bad Breath?

These bacteria are anaerobic, which means without the presence of oxygen. They breed by the billions deep within the fibers (papillae) of the tongue because in normal circumstances, oxygen cannot penetrate beneath the surface of the tongue. Therefore, eliminating bad breath is as simple as introducing oxygen to the anaerobic environment of the bacteria that produce VSCs. I had really awful breath until I discovered the best bad breath treatment on the market. That treatment is the TheraBreath line of products. The reason why they work so well is that they contain the active ingredient Oxyd-VIII. This ingredient adds oxygen to the oral environment which prevents the anaerobic bacteria from creating the odorous sulfide and Mercaptan compounds that are the cause of halitosis. The end result is the formation of a “Sulfate”, which has no odor or taste.

Bad breath is a condition that I had for a long time. It was embarrassing and wrecked my social life. I used every bad breath treatment that you could name. I eliminated sugar and dairy products from my diet, drank eight glasses of water a day, brushed, flossed, and scraped my tongue on a regular basis, and used all of the major commercial mouthwashes. I also tried gargling with warm salt water, chewing on parsley, wintergreen, cardamom seeds, and eucalyptus leaves, and eating sugarless yogurt. Unfortunately, these bad breath treatments did not work for me. Luckily, a very good friend of mine heard about the problems that I was having with my breath and decided to help me out. So he did some research and found a line of products that would transform my life forever. After taking these products, I was able to talk to people without making them sick to their stomach and embarrassing myself. The products that I took were the TheraBreath line of oral care formulas. This product line includes a mouthwash (oral rinse), toothpaste, breath spray, concentrated powerdrops, ZOX breath mints, oxygenating chewing gum, AktivOxigen tablets, and Nasal Sinus Drops, all designed to attack the root of the problem throughout the day with the utmost of convenience. Some breath-refreshing systems rely solely on mouthwash to fight bad breath. Using these formulas will not only give you clean, fresh breath, but they also contain the best ingredients available to prevent tooth decay, and keep your mouth, teeth and gums healthy. I successfully eliminated my bad breath by first using the Therabreath Starter Kit and working my way up from there. You can order a FREE trial of these Therabreath products by clicking here.

7 Reasons Why You Should Use The TheraBreath Line Of Oral Care Formulas

1. Anaerobic sulfur producing bacteria is the cause of bad breath. You can combat anaerobic bacteria with oxygen. Therabreath products contain the active ingredient OXYD-8. It is stabilized and generates oxidizing power as soon as it enters your mouth. This stabilization process allows TheraBreath to have up to a 3 year shelf-life. When any TheraBreath product enters your mouth, a chemical reaction takes place, which allows plenty of active oxygenation to take place each and every time you use it. TheraBreath products will not only eliminate bacterially produced odors, but they will also destroy all types of food odors (garlic, onions, etc.) and even morning breath.

2. TheraBreath toothpaste does not contain Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (a harsh detergent). You want to avoid SLS because it will dry out your mouth which will create an optimal environment for the bad breath bacteria to produce volatile sulfur compounds. SLS has also been linked to the production of painful and annoying canker sores. Unfortunately, most commercial toothpaste and mouthwash manufacturers use SLS which is a soap that they put in toothpaste and other cleansers for the sole purpose of making it foam. People are conditioned to believe that more bubbles means that you will be cleaner. However, this is simply not true.

3. Highly concentrated Whole Leaf Aloe Vera has been added to Therabreath toothpaste. Recent research in Asia has shown that Aloe Vera boosts the body’s ability to create collagen. This strengthens weak and swollen gums which allows them to heal more quickly. This is important because bleeding gums provide a protein “food source” to the bacteria that create bad breath.

4. Therabreath toothpaste does not contain Saccharin. Saccharin has been shown to be carcinogenic in lab animals and the state of California has recently published a long term study on its negative effects. For some individuals, Saccharin can also create a bitter aftertaste because of one of the chemical compounds produced during Saccharin’s chemical breakdown.

5. Therabreath toothpaste is actually a gel. Gels are much smaller molecules than pastes which allows them to penetrate deeper below the surface of the tongue. TheraBreath toothpaste also contains premiere tooth polishing and whitening agents which will keep your smile white and brilliant, but without the damaging abrasives. They are animal cruelty-free and are not harmful to the environment.

6. TheraBreath ToothGel also contains Sodium Fluoride which fights decay. Fluoride has also been shown to be an effective de-sensitizing agent. Some of the other anti-halitosis systems do not contain any Fluoride at all. Before you purchase any anti-halitosis product, make sure to ask if it contains Fluoride.

7. Almost all commercial mouthwashes contain alcohol which can make your mouth drier and your breath smell worse. This will negate the benefits of the oxidation process. The TheraBreath Mouthwash (Oral Rinse) does not contain alcohol and was designed to replace all of those products that make your mouth dry.

Bad breath cannot be cured. There is no such thing as a one time bad breath treatment. Because the bacteria are always there (and are part of the natural flora of bacteria that you need to start off the digestive process), you cannot eliminate them permanently. The only way to effectively stop these bacteria from producing sulfur odours is to use an OXYD-8 based product such as Therabreath. No other compounds will perform this action. The bacteria reproduce every 10-12 hours and that is why the treatment must be used throughout the day. After several months, there is a residual effect, whereby the medication has a longer lasting feeling. Some people are then able to get by with performing the procedure only twice daily. However, for the best results, most people perform the procedures three times daily.

If you want to eliminate your bad breath, you can order a FREE Trial of the Therabreath products that helped me get rid of my bad breath.

What Causes Bad Breath Symptoms

Bad breath is caused by Anaerobic Sulfur Producing Bacteria which normally live WITHIN the surface of the tongue and in the throat. These bacteria are supposed to be there, because they assist humans in digestion by breaking down proteins found in specific foods, mucous or phlegm, blood, and in diseased or “broken-down” oral tissue. Under certain conditions, these bacteria start to break down proteins at a very high rate. Proteins are made up of Amino Acids. Two of the Amino Acids (Cysteine and Methionine) are dense with sulfur.

When these “beneficial” bacteria come into contact with these compounds, the odorous and “lousy-tasting” sulfur compounds are released from the back of the tongue and throat, as Hydrogen Sulfide, Methyl Mercaptan, and other odorous and bad tasting compounds. These “problem” compounds are often referred to as volatile sulfur compounds (VSC), where volatile means Vaporous and Effervescent, two adjectives which accurately describe their ability to offend other people instantly.

Let me explain a very important fact about these “bugs”. They are not “bad guys” – they are not infectious. Everyone in the world has the same group of bacteria in their mouth. You cannot “catch” bad breath from someone else – even by kissing. Since they are part of our normal oral flora, you cannot permanently remove them from your mouth – not by tongue scraping, not by antibiotics, and not by rinses which claim to “lift the bacteria off your tongue”. The only scientifically proven and clinically effective method of halting Halitosis is by attacking the bacteria’s ability to produce VSC and by converting the VSC into non-odorous and non-tasting organic salts.

Speaking about bacteria, there is one other fact that you must understand about these bacteria. They are classified as “Anaerobic” – which literally means “Without Oxygen”. They thrive in an environment where Oxygen is NOT present. That is why they DO NOT LIVE ON THE SURFACE OF YOUR TONGUE! They live in between the papillae (fibers) that make up your tongue!

These sulfur compounds are actually by-products of anaerobic bacteria (Fusobacterium and Actinomyces, among others). Everyone needs these bacteria, because they assist the digestion process. But, unfortunately, for some, as yet undetermined reason these particular bacteria are found in higher numbers in those anguished by Bad Breath. (Various theories attribute this to hormonal changes, a history of medications, usually antibiotics or sulfa drugs-which create an imbalance of oral bacteria, or even Genetics-these disorders appear to run in some families.) We do know however, that it seems to be evenly split between men and women.

Conditions under which the problem becomes worse:

Dry Mouth
Although some cases of dry mouth are naturally occurring, most cases are caused by one of these factors; prescription medications (usually prescribed for high blood pressure or depression) antihistamines, and adult beverages, with alcohol in them.

When your mouth is dryer, you have less Saliva. Saliva naturally contains Oxygen, which keeps your mouth healthy and fresh. These bacteria are anaerobic, which simply means that they will thrive and make more sulfur in the presence of little or no oxygen. Thus if you have less Saliva, you have less oxygen, thereby creating an anaerobic environment, perfect for the bacteria to produce more of these odorous and sour/bitter compounds. For people with Dry Mouth, products such as ZOX Breath Fresheners can help greatly.

Post-Nasal Drip
We know that proteins contain amino acids, which in turn contain sulfur compounds (see text above). When a person has a post nasal drip, mucus drains and coats the back of the tongue and throat, exactly where bacteria live (see diagram above). Since mucus is made up of interlinked strands of protein, the bacteria have a field day, breaking down these proteins into odorous and sour tasting sulfur type compounds. Strong Antihistamines don’t help, because the drying effect of the antihistamines also creates a problem. The only method of ending the odor and taste are to use oxygen based oral products. Many people with post nasal drip have claimed great success after using the Nasal-Sinus Drops.

What About The Sinuses?
Many people mistakenly believe that they can get rid of bad breath following sinus surgery. First of all, these anaerobic bacteria cannot live in the sinuses. When someone has a sinus infection, one of the common symptoms are intense sinus headaches, caused by the pressure from the infection in the sinus. If you don’t have these powerful headaches, you probably don’t have a sinus problem. The fact is that once someone has an elevated amount of these anaerobic bacteria, they will create the problem from any protein source, including mucous, phlegm, etc, which drain down the back of your throat into the area where these bacteria live.

High Protein Foods
These bacteria love those proteins, and certain foods are packed with them:

Milk and Cheese and most other dairy products. (The fat content does not matter.) If you are lactose intolerant, do not eat or drink these products! Since your system cannot digest them properly, they are available to the bacteria for an extended period of time. A research article from the Los Angeles Times (November 1996) on lactose intolerance showed that nearly 67% of all Americans can be classified as “Lactose Intolerant”. This is due to the fact that in a diverse population such as we have here, there is a predilection for Asians, Hispanics, and African-Americans to be lactose intolerant.

Fish are high in proteins. As many people eat a high fish diet, logically they make the problem worse.

Coffee with caffeine (and even without) contains high levels of acids which cause the bacteria to reproduce more rapidly and create a bitter taste for many people. Virtually any acidic type of food will do this.

Recommended Products

TheraBreath is a very “user-friendly” anti-halitosis system. It features a mouthwash (oral rinse), toothpaste, breath spray, concentrated powerdrops, ZOX breath mints, oxygenating chewing gum, AktivOxigen tablets, and Nasal Sinus Drops, all designed to attack the root of the problem throughout the day with the utmost of convenience.

Take This Bad Breath Test To Determine If You Need A Bad Breath Solution

Nobody can protect themselves completely from the bacteria which are what causes bad breath or halitosis. This is impossible because bacteria are a natural part of the body that helps with the digestive process. When your body has an overflow of bacteria, your breath will stink. Too much bacteria on the tongue will make your breath smell even worse. If you are facing this situation, you do not need to worry too much. There are many bad breath solution choices, including home remedies for bad breath, that can eliminate this problem. You can even choose to use a natural cure for bad breath. However, before this, you should determine if are in need of one. The steps for a bad breath test are shown below.

An important fact about halitosis is that it originates from the back of people’s throats. This is where halitosis-causing bacteria thrive. This situation can cause a white substance to cover your tongue. For some cases, halitosis results from the build up of smelly gases in the stomach which is referred to as digestive halitosis. If you keep your digestive system in healthy condition, you can stop digestive halitosis from occurring.

Many people mistakenly think that they can check their own breath for a bad odor. One method that many people use is to exhale into their own cupped hands and then smell them for any odor. This method will not work because it will not force air from the back of your mouth which is where halitosis-causing bacteria are located. The only way to do this is by speaking. One other reason why it is hard to determine if you have halitosis by smelling your own breath is because people become used to their own smell.

Many people may ask, “If I cannot use my nose to determine if I need a bad breath solution, then how can I determine if I need a bad breath cure?” The answer is you will have to ask someone to smell your breath and tell you. Bad breath is not a matter that you want everyone to know about so you should ask a person who can keep a secret. You can get a better assessment of your breath by measuring it with one of the many available bad breath testers such as a halitmeter. Your dentist may have a halimeter.

Having other people find out that you have halitosis can be very scary. If you do not want anyone to know that your breath smells disgusting, you can use other methods. One well-known method is to lick your wrist. When the saliva dries, you should smell it. If there is a disgusting smell, then you should take a commercial bad breath solution or try one of the many home remedies for bad breath.

Some people may find licking their wrist disgusting. Fortunately, there is a less disgusting method. This alternative requires the use of a spoon. Turn the spoon upside down and scrap the back of your tongue. Do not reach too far into your mouth because that might trigger a gag reflex. There should be a whitish substance on the spoon when you take it out. The smell from this substance will give you an idea of what your breath smells like.

If any of these techniques tell you that you have halitosis, you should not be too worried. Many other people have to deal with the same condition. There are many bad breath solution products on the market that can free you from the burden of halitosis. Some people try a natural cure for bad breath because they believe that it will do less damage to their body. Home remedies for bad breath are also available and easy to make.

Unfortunately, many people are burdened with bad breath or halitosis. They have probably spent considerable time looking for bad breath cures. There are many bad breath solution products that will give you relief from the bad odor but this condition may not be completely eliminated.

If you have not found any luck with the other bad breath solution products, you might get better results from a natural cure for bad breath. Mother nature provides many bad breath cures for eliminating the stinky odor from your mouth. Nature produces many herbs that have been used since ancient times to cure various health maladies. Many people have also used these herbs as home remedies for bad breath. These herbs have properties that enable them to be used as a natural cure for bad breath. Unfortunately, there are bad breath cures that will combat both good and bad bacteria. Unlike those solutions, these herbs will only try to eliminate the bad bacteria that ruins your breath.

Peppermint is a bad breath solution that does an effective job of combating digestive halitosis. It can be combined with your tea. Peppermint is known as a carminative herb because it can improve your digestion which will reduce the build-up of toxins. This is vital because toxins are responsible for the smelly gases in your stomach that give you digestive halitosis.

Dandelions are commonly thought of as weedy plants. Having halitosis can be an indication that you have a more serious medical problem in the respiratory of the digestive system. A dandelion can be used as an effective detoxification agent. It can heal the problems with the digestive system that can lead to halitosis.

For many years, myrrh has been used to treat dental conditions and as a natural cure for bad breath. Some people have also used it to treat illnesses such as syphilis and leprosy and preserve mummies. The antiseptic properties from myrrh can relieve inflamed tissues in your mouth and throat.

There are many effective home remedies for bad breath. One of the more well-known bad breath cures is parsley. It has an abundant supply of chlorophyll which acts like a deodorizer and keeps halitosis-causing bacteria at bay. Chewing on some parsley sprigs dipped in vinegar will give you an effective bad breath solution. You can swallow the parsley sprigs and continue to have fresh breath for a little while longer. The sprigs will prevent intestinal gas from accumulating which will stop any occurrence of halitosis.

There are antiseptic compounds in tea tree oil that allow it to be used as a disinfectant. You can fight off the bacteria that is harming your breath by placing drops of this aromatic oil on your toothbrush or dental floss.

Bad breath cures can also be found in using cineole. The most abundant supply of cineole is in cardamom. You can freshen your breath by using cardamom seeds. They act as a powerful antiseptic.

Another abundant supply of cineole can be located in eucalyptus leaves. Many commercial mouthwashes have the compound eucalyptol as its main ingredient. It is derived from eucalyptus oil. These type of mouthwashes must also contain alcohol in order to dissolve the eucalyptol. Unfortunately, the alcohol will make your breath smell worse because it can dry your mouth. Chewing on eucalyptus leaves is a good alternative to using these harmful commercial mouthwashes.

There are plenty of bad breath cures to choose from. Unfortunately, you must be careful about which bad breath solution you choose to use. This is because the average person will have to use one at least three times a day. If you would prefer, there are many herbs that can be used as a natural cure for bad breath. The use of these herbs will certainly do less damage to your body.

Bad breath is a problem that many people suffer from. Most people already know that they have bad breath because of the disgusted look that others give them while they are talking to each other. This condition can cause anyone to become desperate looking for a cure for halitosis that will be their salvation. As long as the bad breath or halitosis did not result from a medical problem, you should not have too much difficulty finding the proper way to get rid of your halitosis. Some of the easier ways of curing bad breath include adjusting your diet and following a healthy oral hygiene routine on a regular basis.

Sometimes it is easier to understand how to get rid of a problem such as bad breath if you know what causes it in the first place. The most common cause of halitosis is the bacteria in your mouth. If food gets stuck between your teeth after you are finished with a meal, the oral bacteria will feed on this leftover food which will cause the release of sulfur which is responsible for the bad smell in your mouth.

Food that is high in protein is dense with sulfur. This is why many people who are on a high protein diet are unfortunately burdened with disgusting breath. However, people who eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables are less likely to get this condition because this diet will help increase the flow of saliva. The saliva will help wash away the food and bacteria that is causing you problems and leave you with much fresher breath.

If your bad breath does not result from gastric disorders or any other medical condition, then you will not have a hard time finding the correct way to eliminate your condition. A simple cure for halitosis that might work is to follow the rules for proper oral hygiene on a regular basis.

You can start by buying a good toothbrush and dental floss. To get rid of any food remnants and bacteria, you will have to brush your teeth and floss after every meal. You should also consider purchasing a good mouthwash. The mouthwash will be effective in removing some of the odor-causing bacteria. However, you should be careful to not purchase a mouthwash that contains alcohol because it can dry your mouth out which will result in the production of even more sulfur-producing bacteria.

The bacteria that feeds on the leftover food found between your teeth can also be found on your tongue. This is why you should also brush your tongue regularly. This will help eliminate some of the leftover food and bacteria found on your tongue which will go a long way towards freshening your breath up.

Smoking can cause you to have dry mouth. Having a dry mouth means that you will produce less saliva which is vital in removing bacteria and leftover food. This is why many people recommend quitting smoking if you have disgusting breath. This is much cheaper than having to pay for a commercial bad breath treatment. Smoking can not only wreck your breath it can also make your clothes and hair smell pretty bad as well. You can do yourself and your family and friends a big favor by giving up smoking.

Consuming large amounts of alcohol can also result in halitosis. The alcohol can cause you to have dry mouth. Even if you follow a proper daily dental routine and use commercial breath fresheners to mask the odor, drinking too much alcohol can negate all of the positive effects of any precautions you may take.

There Is A Bad Breath Remedy In Your Kitchen

Many people have difficulties living with halitosis or bad breath. Even if these people are attractive, they will have trouble making friends once others get a whiff of their halitosis. A good bad breath remedy is the only thing that will prevent you from spending the rest of your alone. Fortunately, for these people, there are plenty of bad breath cures that will provide them with the help that they need. However, a bad breath remedy will not appear out of nowhere.

Bad breath occurs because bacteria finds food particles and other residues on your tongue to feast on. Luckily, a natural cure for bad breath can be easily found. Brushing, flossing, and tongue scraping are effective techniques of cleaning up your breath. But you should not get too concerned if you are not getting the necessary results with these methods. This is because in your kitchen you can find many good home remedies for bad breath. These items include many fruits, herbs, and vegetables. They might give you the bad breath solution you are looking for.

Drinking a glass of water can prove to be an effective natural cure for bad breath. The water can wash away the food particles and other residues on your tongue. If you give bacteria less food to feast on, you can lower your chances of having halitosis.

Another benefit of drinking water is that it will increase the flow of saliva. Many people refer to saliva as nature’s mouthwash. The reasons for this are that saliva can flush out food particles and improve the digestion of food. Improving the digestive process is vital because if the food in your stomach remains undigested for too long it will result in digestive halitosis. Undigested food can cause toxins in the form of disgusting gases to accumulate. And these gases can wreck your breath as well as your social life.

Did you know that people have been using successfully citrus fruits as home remedies for bad breath? Everyone already knows that citrus fruits contain Vitamin C which is good for your body’s health. However, citrus fruits also contain acids that will increase saliva production. The more saliva there is, the fresher your breath will smell. This is because the saliva will wash away the bacteria and not allow them to thrive.

You can create a great tasting mouthwash by diluting lemon juice in water. Eliminating digestive halitosis can be done by using a grapefruit seed extract and water concoction.

It has been shown by research that your breath can really stink if you have an insufficient supply of the mineral zinc. This is because zinc can stop the production of volatile sulfur compounds which are capable of making your breath stink. Adding zinc to your diet is a fairly easy bad breath remedy. Zinc can be found in many foods such as seafoods, red meat, almonds, and kidney beans. Zinc supplements are also available for sale.

You can combat the acids in the locations where halitosis-causing bacteria can thrive by using baking soda. A good bad breath remedy is to create a paste out of baking soda and water and then brush your teeth with it. Or you could dilute baking soda in water and use this concoction as a mouthwash.

Do you recall when you were a kid being told that you could cure oral infections by gargling with warm water and salt? Unlike other folk remedies, this is one that is pretty effective as a cure for bad breath. The reason is that salt is capable of combating the bacteria that leads to halitosis.

You can also battle bacteria by using chlorophyll. There is a rich supply of chlorophyll in green herbs such as parsley and wintergreen. You can make your breath smell more pleasant by chewing on these green herbs. Chlorophyll can help increase the flow of saliva.

A good bad breath remedy is not very difficult to find. This is because there are many bad breath cures to choose from in your kitchen. Searching your refrigerator or kitchen cupboards can alleviate the problems you have had with your disgusting breath.

Bad Breath Remedies That Work

The bad taste in your mouth might be a result of bad breath or halitosis. Fortunately, there are many bad breath remedies that can remove this problem. When bacteria feasts on the dead cells on your tongue and the food residue left in your mouth, a white, bitter substance will appear on your tongue. This substance is responsible for the bad taste. While the bacteria is feeding, Volatile Sulfur Compounds (VSCs) will be released which will cause your breath to stink.

If you determine that your breath smells like a swamp, then you should eliminate the bacteria that is responsible for the bad odor. Here is a list of bad breath remedies that can reduce the bacteria in your mouth:

1. Follow a proper oral or dental hygiene routine. This should include brushing, flossing, and rinsing on a regular basis. This is a good bad breath remedy but it will not eliminate all of the bacteria in your mouth. For better results, try to include tongue scraping to your daily oral hygiene routine. You should do this because of the tiny hair-like projections on your tongue that can trap food particles. By regularly cleaning your gums, teeth, and tongue, bacteria will not have an opportunity to thrive and destroy your breath.

2. Try to never skip regularly scheduled meals. You want to follow this advice because your stomach is at work all of the time. Even if you do not give your stomach any food to break down, the digestive juices will keep working. This will cause a disgusting odor to come from the inner linings of your stomach. This condition is referred to as digestive halitosis.

3. Following a proper diet can help you combat halitosis. It has already been mentioned that one bad breath remedy would be to not skip any meals. However, this does not mean that you should eat whatever you want. By eating improper foods, you can make your breath smell worse.

Foods that you should cut from your diet include cheeses, greasy foods, deli meats, garlic, onions, and spices. You should also stay away from coffee or soda. Having too many of these items can give you heartburn or acid reflux – and halitosis may also result from this. Acid reflux and halitosis are related because food particles can find themselves in hard-to-reach places where halitosis-causing bacteria are free to feast on them.

4. Some people may find commercial bad breath remedies unappealing. If this is the case, there are home remedies for bad breath that may be more appealing. Many good home remedies for bad breath can be found in teas, herbs, greens, and citrus fruits. They can provide a natural cure for bad breath at a price that anyone can afford.

Greens are well-known for their ability to kill off bacteria and flush out toxins. Because of this many people refer to them as natural deodorizers. Saliva is good at reducing bacteria. Citrus fruits, such as limes, lemons, and oranges, contain acids that can increase saliva production. Odor-causing bacteria can also be reduced by using the antiseptic properties of herbs, such as basil, parsley, and mint. Teas are a good natural cure for bad breath because they contain polyphenols which can reduce the production of VSCs by 30%.

5. Unfortunately, home remedies for bad breath will not be the solution for everybody. There will be people who will require professional help. This will apply to people who have chronic halitosis. There are doctors with the proper knowledge to eliminate this condition. Other people may get halitosis because of a serious medical problem. Medical attention can allow them to combat this condition in its early stages.

Just because you have halitosis it does not mean that you have to put your social life on hold. Using any of the various bad breath remedies may allow you to live without the embarrassment associated with halitosis.

Do you have halitosis or bad breath? If you do, no one would blame you if you looked for a cure for bad breath. Having halitosis can be really embarrassing. Can you imagine how you would feel if you had to talk to someone who had the smell of sweaty socks coming from their mouth? Fortunately, a bad breath solution is not impossible to find. Millions of Americans have the same problem and many have found the proper halitosis treatment. It is much easier to find than trying to find a cure for smoking.

You can get bad breath or halitosis by eating certain foods. Unfortunately, these foods might be some of your favorites. Any foods that are high in protein, such as fish, red meat, beans, and dairy foods, should certainly be avoided. You should also eliminate garlic, onions, and other spicy foods from your diet. These foods contain odor-causing compounds which can enter your lungs and get exhaled. Instead of eating those foods, you should eat more fresh fruits, such as pineapple and papaya, and vegetables, such as celery, parsley, and carrots. This has served as an effective bad breath solution for many people. Adding more fruits and vegetables to your diet can also improve your health. These are the reasons why mothers harass their children about eating more fruits and vegetables.

Another good cure for bad breath is drinking a lot of water. The water will wash away any food that may be remaining in your teeth, tongue, or gums. This is important because you do not want them to decay in your mouth because they can leave a really disgusting odor. Another way to remove the food is to practice good oral hygiene. You should try to brush your teeth after every meal. You should also use dental floss or toothpicks to clean the areas between your teeth that are the cause of odor production. Dental floss can eliminate some of the dental plaque on adjacent tooth surfaces. This will lower your chances of getting periodontal disease which has been known to cause halitosis.

Studies have shown that microbial deposits on the back of the tongue is a major contributor to halitosis. So brushing your tongue thoroughly to remove these deposits will also partially cure bad breath. You should be careful when you are doing this because using too much force can cause a gagging reflex.

Your breath can really stink when your mouth gets dry. This can happen when you are fasting. A good bad breath solution would be to chew sugarless gum throughout the day. This will stimulate the saliva flow in your mouth that will help remove any remnants of odor-causing food. However, you should not overdo this because it can lead to joint problems with your jaw. A few minutes of gum chewing at a time is sufficient. To prevent dry mouth, you should also stop drinking alcohol or anything with caffeine. There are also medications, such as antihistamines, high blood pressure medications, and antidepressants, that can result in dry mouth. You should consult your dentist or doctor if you want more information on preventing dry mouth.

Many people use commercial mouthwashes. They gargle it for several seconds in the hopes that it would cure bad breath. Mouthwash will work best if you use it right before going to bed. This is because the flow of saliva is lowest at night which can ruin your breath. By using it at night, remnants of the mouthwash will stay in your mouth longer and have a stronger effect. However, this is a bad breath solution that will only temporarily mask the bad odor for a period no longer than a few hours. At this point, no studies have proven that a mouthwash can serve as a long-term cure for bad breath.

The First Step In Finding The Proper Remedies For Bad Breath Is Knowing The Root Cause

Nothing is more embarrassing than a breath smelling like you’ve just pigged out on garbage. The good news is this problem can be treated – commercial products and home remedies for bad breath abound. Will it also help to know that you are not alone? Almost everyone is plagued with this problem – some are more serious than the others – and all are trying to find the ultimate remedies for bad breath that will end all the humiliation once and for all.

Contrary to what people believe, you can not smell your own bad breath – only those who are unfortunate enough to have a whiff of your stinky breath can tell you if you do have it. Certainly being told that you have bad breath is mortifying and drives one to go madly looking for the best cures for bad breath that are available.

Halitosis basically starts in the mouth where all kinds of oral bacteria thrive at different intensities everyday due to different factors. Don’t you notice how your breath stinks in the morning? For one, bad breath can be a bad side effect of a dry mouth, stress or fasting. Since the functions of the mouth are inactive while we are sleeping, meaning there is not enough saliva to wash bacteria out, bacterial activity goes into overdrive, leaving a nasty odor when we wake up.

Saliva stimulation is basically what chewing gum does. Although the minty smell can hide the bad odor a bit, it is the chewing activity which stimulates saliva flow that really works its powers in proving a bad breath solution. A more natural cure for bad breath that works the same as a chewing gum is placing a drop of lemon juice at the tip of your tongue.

And although bad breath may go away after we eat something, it is also the foods we eat that leave a nasty effect on our breath. Onions, cheese or garlic can make breath stink more than we want to. Drinking and smoking are culprits too. This is because some particles are left in the hard-to-reach places of the tongue and there bacteria wreaks havoc – releasing the sulfur gases that make the foulest smell.

That is why one major routine in oral care should be scraping the tongue off of these breeding spots for bacteria. A tongue scraper is a good natural cure for bad breath. If you do not have one, you can gently but effectively use the bristles of your toothbrush or a spoon to get these particles off.

However, that stinky odor from your mouth may have come from your nose too. Nasal drips are an effect of colds, allergies or hormonal changes. Mucus from the nose goes down to the back of the tongue where it can also breed bacteria that releases the foulest smell.

A bad breath solution is always within reach. Mouthwashes, breath mints and sprays fill the supermarket shelves along with oral hygiene products. If you’re more into the organic solutions, home remedies to treat bad breath could offer relief from the stench. Citrus fruits stimulate saliva flow which prevents odor-causing enzymes from doing their literally stinky job. A baking soda bad breath solution also works wonders on getting rid of bad breath. Washing your mouth with this solution alters its pH, making it unfavorable for bacteria to thrive.

Having bad breath really leaves a negative impression on others that is why its important to always make sure that your breath is smelling fresh. Of course maintaining an oral hygiene is always a good bad breath remedy.
